Site Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of construction management practices.
Duties
- Track monthly work in progress to complete pay expectations in a timely manner.
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule project activities, including subcontractor work, material deliveries, and inspections.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Develop and manage project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project to ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers and estimators to review schematics and plans for accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Address any issues or delays promptly to minimize the impact on project timelines.
- Foster a positive working environment by leading by example and promoting teamwork among site personnel.
- Review and approve/correct time cards to ensure time and quantities are tracked.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or as a Site Superintendent in Civil Construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Heavy Jobs and Heavy Bid for project tracking and documentation.
- Proficient in project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project to effectively manage timelines.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to liaise with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction is a plus but not required.
